ReplyDeleteKira, congratulations on your new post in Florida. Your bright and smiling face and weathercast has been a bright spot in morning newscasts for the last three years. We moved from Houston three years ago to Eastland and have been impressed with your personality and professional abilities. KTAB is losing a great asset which it needs more of in its operations.
ReplyDeleteBye Kira! I love how the graphic has a big sunshine on it -- stands for Florida AND sleeping in in the mornings! :) BEST OF LUCK!!!
ReplyDeleteGoodbye and good luck. You did a great job for us. We will miss you.
ReplyDeleteKira, You have been one of the best forecasters that Abilene has had. You will be greatly missed. God Bless you and enjoy the time spent with your family. Family is one of the best things we have and sometimes they can be taken from us without any reason.

ReplyDeleteKira,
ReplyDeleteIve watched Ktab daybreak and noontab the last two years of my high school career. Its been a pleasure watching you over the last years. You bring so may joy to the news cast.
I wish you nothing but the best of luck in the years to come! :)
As you were forecasting the weather this afternoon and it was sent back to ron and he mentioned that it was your last day. A tear came to my eye. :(
Not only will you be missed by your co-workers you will also be missed dearly by your daily viewers like myself.
My God Bless you in all that you do, and I personally wish you the best of luck! You're going to be an awesome forecaster!
We can't say it any better than the others, Kira, but you're the best. You're a sweety deluxe and just a wonderful lady. As we watched you bid a sad goodbye, tears came in my eyes too. Me and my wife Barb have so much enjoyed seeing you with Ron each day, and you became a part of each day for us. The only regret we have is that we never got to meet you in person as we have Bob and Angela. Our hearts and prayers go with you in this move back home. May God turn those tears of sadness into sunshine for a sunshine girl going to a sunshine state!
ReplyDeleteAll the best always, Lots of Hugs,
Tony & Barb Rogers
Kira.
ReplyDeleteIt's been great working with you for the past 2+ years here at KTAB. You are a SOLID forecaster, entertainer, and a well rounded individual. Thanks for all of your help during severe weather events and working long hours when needed. We couldn't have done it with out you.
I know you will thrive in Ft. Myers! Its where you are from.....South Florida! Watch out for the hurricanes, jelly fish and the retirees!
We'll miss you! Please keep in touch from time to time. We will ALWAYS want to know how things are going.
Keep smiling and may God bless you and your family,
Dan Edwards

Thank you for giving of your time and talent to the Big Country for the past 3 yrs. Your presence on KTAB early morning show was always a wonderful way to start my days. I know that you are happy to be going back close to your family and friends, but please know that you will be missed in Abilene. Abilene, and the surrounding area, is a better place for having had you in our lives. I wish you the best of luck, both personally and professionally, for the future.
ReplyDeleteGod Bless You.
Thanks for doing a great job for Abilene. We will miss you and your great smile in the morning! I'm from GA and two of our sons are living in FL... in Tallahassee and Tampa. It's also a great place to live! Good luck with your new job!
ReplyDeleteKira, I knew from the moment I saw you on TV, that your time here in Abilene would be short-lived. Your warm personality, caring heart and quirky laughter will be missed by not only me, but by everyone here in The Big Country. I have never been a fan of saying "good-bye", so instead.. how about a " see you later"? From cold fronts to sea-breeze fronts.. I'll miss you tons!
ReplyDeleteSunny days,
KTXS Chief Meteorologist Damon Lane
Kira, What a great weather forecaster. A lovely, caring young woman. Your laughter, especially when you got tickled about something. Made you very dear to our Texas hearts. You now have alkaline from Texas in your veins, so you will be back. Say Hi! to Florida for us and tell them you now say you'll. We know your ours, so see you later. Glad you are going to be with family. tho'. Family is the best of life.. Anne P.
